Ahead of the Blyth Spartans’ win over Stafford Ranger, the Port of Blyth’s Player of the Month award for December 2013 was handed over to Daniel Maguire. The award obviously inspired Nipa as the striker, who turned 21 a few days earlier, went onto to score a 16 min hattrick

Prior to Saturday’s match with Ramsbottom United, the Port of Blyth Player of the Month was presented to midfielder Craig Hubbard. Whilst the month saw the Spartans produce some strong performances throughout the team, the stand out player was obviously going to be Hubbard as he had scored 7 goals in 3 games, including 6 in two games against Skelmersdale United. ARJUN PUREWAL – AUGUST 2013 The club can confirm that the first Port of Blyth Player of the Month, for August 2013, goes to Central Defender Arjun Purewal. Arjun is in his first season with the club, but has impressed everyone at Croft Park with his calm and assured displays alongside Danny Parker.
