The Robins suffered defeat in their last league match as they lost 2-1 away at Bridlington Town after a 90th minutes winner from Jack Yates.

WHAT WE’RE SAYING

After a 3-0 defeat on the road at Boston, Graham Fenton said: “It’s a massively disappointing result obviously, its a difficult one to sum up as again we’ve been the better team inbetween the boxes, but the boxes dont win you games and they’ve been very clinical when they’ve pounced on our three mistakes.

“From their point of view the first goal is decent, it’s a good bit of movement, decent pass and he’s gone through and finished it well. The other two goals are just individual errors that you can’t account for, one slipped and the other mistouched the ball and they’ve punished us and been clinical.”

LAST TIME WE MET

The Spartans and Robins faced eachother in a pre-season friendly in August at the Daren Persson Stadium, where North Sheilds managed to win 2-1.

The sides last met in the Northumberland Senior Cup final back in 2017 where Blyth managed a 3-2 win over North Shields.
