Blyth Spartans would like to communicate the following statement upon the departure of Toby Lees from the Club.
The 26-year-old central defender signed for Spartans in the summer of 2021 and has accumulated 78 league appearances – helping to keep 23 clean sheets and scoring three goals in the process.
Commenting on the departure of Lees, manager Graham Fenton said: “Due to work-based commitments, he isn’t able to commit to another season with the club.
“I am disappointed that Toby won’t be with us next season as he’s been hugely influential on and off the pitch, absolutely brilliant for the football club and we wish him the best of luck for next season wherever he goes.”
The dedication from Lees during his time at the Club has been impeccable alongside his ever-dependable performances on the pitch. Everyone at Blyth Spartans would like to express their gratification and appreciation to Toby and wish him the utmost best in his future endeavours.
