Blyth Spartans AFC- Community Media Assistant (Voluntary)
Blyth Spartans AFC is looking for a passionate and proactive Community Media Assistant, on a voluntary basis, to help raise awareness of our work, strengthen our local profile, and tell compelling stories that inspire communities to engage with the Club.
As a key member of the media personnel you will identify and develop newsworthy stories, build relationships with local and regional media, and create engaging content that highlights the impact of our work.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop community stories and media opportunities.
Write and distribute press releases, case studies, and other media content.
Build positive relationships with local, regional, and community media.
Promote events, campaigns, and organisational achievements through media coverage.
Support media enquiries and prepare colleagues and spokespeople for interviews.
Create engaging content for digital and social media channels.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, partners, and community stakeholders.
About You We are looking for someone who:
Ideally has experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or media relations.
Is an excellent writer with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Shares our commitment to community engagement and positive social impact.
