Spartans Need Your Help

Saturday, 7 February 2026

With today's home game against Pontefract Collieries falling foul of the weather, this will mean that we will be going five whole weeks without a home game at Croft Park.

Such a long break between home games can put a strain on the club's finances, with wages, away travel, utilities and other expenses still having to be paid out across that stretch of time.

Postponed games come at a real cost. Games moved to midweek simply don't generate the same income as Saturday fixtures. Beyond lost money through smaller gates, we lose vital income through bar and food takings, as well as money through the club store and beyond.

To help ease that financial burden, we're offering supporters the opportunity to help play a part in helping the club bridge the gap across what will be a barren few weeks for the football club.

If you're able to donate the price of a match ticket, a pint or just a 50/50 ticket that you would have spent at today's game, every single pound donated matters in helping us bridge this gap and helping us maintain our current playing budget, as we strive to support Marc Nash and his team.

Alternatively, you can help support the football club in various other ways.

Join the 1899 Club and commit to making a monthly donation to help support the running of the football club, while being in with a chance of winning some prizes.

Treat yourself to something from the online club store, with plenty of home, away and retro Viz shirts in stock - plus so much more.

Purchase a half-season ticket for our remaining home games, as Nashy's side looks to build on their recent form and beat the drop.

Join us in the Tommy Hedley Suite at Croft Park by sponsoring one of our remaining home games.

Everyone at the football club is beyond grateful for any contribution you can make
