Paul Van Zandvliet is a Spartan

We are thrilled to announce the signing of commanding midfielder Paul Van Zandvliet from Bishop Auckland.

Paul arrives with significant experience at this level and above, having previously played under First-Team Manager Marc Nash at both North Shields and Newcastle Blue Star. He has also represented Hebburn Town and Ashington during his career, earning a reputation as a powerful and imposing presence in midfield.

Known for his physicality and work rate, Paul adds real steel to the centre of the park and strengthens an area the club has been keen to reinforce.

Manager Marc Nash shared his delight at securing Van Zandvliet's signature:

Paul is a player I brought into senior football at just 17, and even then he had the physical attributes of a seasoned player. He actually played for the academy in its first year before Covid shut it down. He will give us great presence, strength and running power in midfield, something we quickly identified was needed. His aerial ability will be a big asset too.
