Newcastle Benfield duo join Spartans

We are delighted to announce the signings of Newcastle Benfield duo, Andy Evans and Christian Lynn.

19-years-old left-back Christian Lynn is also on a dual-registration with Gateshead FC.

A technically gifted full-back, Lynn is comfortable in possession and poses a threat from set-pieces. During his time with The Lions, he made 18 appearances and impressed with his composure and delivery.

20-year-old right-back Andy Evans arrives having spent his youth career at Sunderland before moving to Morecambe in 2022, where he captained their Under-18 side. Evans signed for Darlington FC in September 2024, making an appearance in the National League North, before joining Newcastle Benfield. This season, he has been a key figure at Sam Smiths Park, featuring 12 times.

Both players bolster our defensive options as we continue our 25/26 campaign.
