New Recruits at Blyth Spartans AFC
Friday, 8 August 2025
It's been a busy couple weeks of recruitment at Blyth Spartans, as we welcome Addis Dore, Callum Dobson, Jack Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jonny Nyantou and Paddy Mcclafferty to the club.
Addis joins the club following his release from Middlesbrough FC earlier this summer. A striker with a sharp eye for goal, he is expected to bring added firepower to Blyth's attacking options for the upcoming season.
Callum joins the club on loan from Hebburn Town, following an injury to Lewis Baker. Having made a number of senior appearances for Northallerton Town last season, he impressed with a series of strong performances between the sticks.
Jack Wilson plied his trade at Sheffield United's academy, before jetting off to the USA on a scholarship. Jack is a powerful centre half who loves to be on the ball, bringing real speed and physicality to our back line.
Jacob Wilson joins after catching the eye of Colin Myers during his trial period, a defender, predominantly playing off the left. Jacob was previously apart of Hebburn Town's ranks, also playing his football for Northumbria University.
Another trialist to put pen to paper is Jonny Nyantou. Jonny joins from Bottesford Town FC, a quick winger with an eye for goal, Jonny has caught the eye in the games he has featured in so far and will bring some real energy to our front line.
Last but not least is familiar face, Paddy Mcclafferty. Paddy, who has featured for the Gibraltar national team, brings experience of this level and above to our back-line which will prove invaluable to the squad.
We now look forward to seeing the lads in action come Saturday!
