Michael Fowler joins Spartans
Friday, 7 November 2025
We are delighted to announce the exciting signing of 24-year-old striker Michael Fowler from Bishop Auckland.
Michael began his career at Sunderland's academy before moving on to Burnley's youth set-up. Fowler would spend time on loan at both Bamber Bridge and FC United of Manchester - gaining vital experience in the Northern Premier League Premier Division.
The Lincolnshire-born forward would then make the switch to the USA, where he'd feature for the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the NCAA Division I - scoring six goals in eight starts.
Fowler would return to the North-East in December 2021, as he linked up with Dunton UTS - scoring 21 goals in 38 games across the next 18 months in the NPL East, as Dunston would just miss out on the playoffs in 2022 and 2023.
A jump to Stockton Town would follow that summer, as Fowler notched 16 goals in 33 games to help Stockton win promotion to the NPL Premier Division. Fowler would make over 30 appearances for Stockton Town last season, as they finished in 3rd place in their maiden season in the NPL Premier Division.
Fowler would then move to Bishop Auckland in the summer after scoring over 40 goals for Stockton in two seasons, where he netted two goals across six games in all competitions.
Michael comes straight into the squad for Saturday under new manager Marc Nash.
We look forward to seeing you lead the line in green and white, Michael!
