Marc Nash & Anthony Woodhouse sign 2-year contracts

Blyth Spartans AFC are delighted to announce that Manager Marc Nash and Assistant Manager Anthony Woodhouse have both signed new 2-year contracts with the club.
Arriving at the club in November, the management team quickly strengthened the squad with well-established players and managed to pull the club away from rock bottom of the Northern Premier League East to survival - achieving a feat that some deemed impossible.
With our NPL status now secured, the club is now looking forward to further progress next season, and we are determined to improve on this season's 16th place finish.
Chairman Kevin Miles is delighted to confirm the new deal with the management team, and said:
Marc and his coaching staff have done a superb job since taking on what was a huge task back in November, and have succeeded in staving off the threat of yet another relegation.
They have contributed hugely to the improvements we've seen both on and off the pitch in recent months, and knowing that we will have them continuing in their roles gives us all hope and confidence for a very positive future.
Assistant Manager Anthony Woodhouse added:
It was a no-brainer when the club approached us. When we stepped in back in November, the job was clear: halt the slide and steady things, we've achieved that, and now the focus shifts to building and planning properly for next season. There's a real sense of belief around the place, and we're excited about what's ahead.
Manager Marc Nash said:
Hopefully this can bring much needed stability for the club. For me, it was always a project that needs time build. The first part of getting safe has been done but there's lots of hard work ahead.
Delighted to see you both commit your futures to the club, here's to what comes next!
