Blyth Spartans can confirm that forward Lucas Taylor has joined Redcar Town on a one-month loan deal.
Taylor will link up with the Northern League side on a temporary basis as he looks to gain more regular game time over the coming weeks.
The forward has featured for the Spartans this season, but recently expressed a desire to explore opportunities for increased minutes before an approach was received from Redcar.
Manager Marc Nash explained the thinking behind the move:
"Lucas indicated to me last week that he'd like to explore the opportunity of more game time elsewhere.
“We've since had an approach from Redcar Town to take him for a month and Lucas sees this as a better opportunity to play, so he will go there for a month.
“Hopefully he can get amongst the goals in the Northern League.”
Taylor will now spend the next month with Redcar before returning to Croft Park at the conclusion of the loan spell.
