Jordan Summerly is a Spartan

We are delighted to announce the signing of experienced full-back Jordan Summerly from Newcastle Blue Star.

The 29-year-old began his career at North Shields, making over 200 appearances and gaining invaluable experience - also playing under our new manager, Marc Nash, during his time with the Robins.

Summerly first joined Blyth Spartans in January 2020, though his spell at the club was unfortunately cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following his departure, he signed for Ashington, where he spent the next five years playing a key role in the Colliers' rise from Northern League Division One to the NPL East. During his time there, he helped the side win the Northern League Cup and the Cleator Cup, and was an important figure in their battle to retain NPL East status during the 2024/25 campaign.

After taking a short break from football over the summer, Jordan joined Newcastle Blue Star in August and has been a standout performer for them so far this season.
