Jamie Clark joins Spartans

Friday, 6 February 2026

Blyth Spartans are pleased to announce the signing of striker Jamie Clark from Alnwick Town.

Clark, who has previously featured for Whitley Bay, is a product of the Spartans academy, progressing into the first team during the COVID period under then-manager Michael Nelson.

The forward has been in fine form this season, netting 14 goals for Alnwick Town in the Northern League, and now returns to Croft Park looking to test himself at a higher level.

First-team manager Marc Nash spoke on his new recruit:

I know Jamie from when he progressed from the academy into the first team under Michael Nelson. Unfortunately for him, some lingering injuries hampered his progress, but he's spent the last two seasons rebuilding his career at Alnwick Town and is now ready to test himself again at higher levels.

His ability isn't in question at all, and I know that if he gets firing, we've got a player who will excite the fans with his direct style. He's been allowed to train with us so we could assess him, and he's looked incredibly sharp and hungry - credit to him for grabbing the opportunity.

The door opened up with Noah Millington's injury, and Jamie is keen to impress.

Welcome back to Spartans, Jamie!
