First-Team Injury Update

Blyth Spartans can provide the following update on a number of players currently receiving treatment for injuries.

It is currently a busy period for the club’s medical team, with several players undergoing assessments or awaiting further reports from specialists.

Olly Martin – Knee

Martin is set to undergo a scan within the next week to further assess the extent of a knee injury.

Liam Clavering – Ankle/Foot

Clavering has suffered a recurrence of the ankle/foot injury which has troubled him on three occasions over the past 12 months.

Initial scan results have shown that the injury is not as severe as first feared, with the club awaiting a further report to establish a potential timeframe for his return.

Jack Walker – Hamstring

Walker is currently undergoing assessment on a hamstring injury, with further examinations taking place this week.

Harry Richardson – Fibula

Richardson suffered a fractured fibula while playing in a college fixture.

The fracture has been confirmed and the club is now awaiting a specialist’s report to determine the expected timeframe for his recovery.

Harry Barclay – Knee

Barclay has suffered a recurrence of a previous knee injury and is currently undergoing further assessment.

Michael Fowler – Knee

Fowler is awaiting confirmation of a surgery date for his knee injury.

Noah Millington – Foot

Millington has commenced his rehabilitation and return programme following surgery on a fractured foot.

The club expects to receive further information regarding recovery timeframes in the coming weeks and will provide additional updates when appropriate.
