Colin Myers and Derek Forrest join the coaching team

Blyth Spartans are delighted to confirm the arrival of Derek Forrest and Colin Myers, who have both Joined Michael Connor's coaching setup.

Derek joins as head coach and has comes with a huge amount of coaching experience, having worked with Newcastle United Academy, Tyne Met College, Newcastle Benfield, Whitley Bay and Northumbria University where he lead Team Northumbria into Northern League Division One.

Colin, who joins as assistant manager, is no stranger to Croft Park, having previously been Tom Wade's number two for during his time at Spartans, and was in the dugout for the club's memorable FA Cup run in 2014/15. Since leaving at the end of the that season he had spells as manager at Consett and Bishop Auckland.
