Charlie Stirland signs for Spartans

We are excited to welcome 20-year-old defender, predominant centre-half, Charlie Stirland from Newton Aycliffe on a contract.

Stirland came through the ranks at Middlesbrough before joining MK Dons as a professional. He made a handful of appearances for the Dons before gaining valuable experience on loan - notably at National League North level - featuring for both Oxford City and Darlington FC in recent seasons.

Charlie made his first permanent senior move in August, joining Newton Aycliffe, where he has since gained important experience at this level before now making the move to Croft Park.
