Academy Watch - Our Youth Cup Side Take On Hartlepool

Our U18 side are in action this Wednesday as they take on Hartlepool at Croft Park. It is free entry, so get down and support the lads as this side will also be our youth cup team for the season, and kick-off will be at 7pm.

Youth team Manager Marc Nash spoke about how pre-season had started and the squads for this season.

He said:

It's been a good start to pre-season. Some early fitness work and plenty of ball work alongside a tough beach session to finish the week. The new players are settling in well and showing positive signs.

It's the biggest intake we've ever taken, so we are introducing a third squad to the academy for next season. They will compete in the National Youth Football League alongside our usual two squads competing in the National League Youth Alliance.
