Spartans U19's played out a thriller with league leaders Gateshead at St Peter's Sports Hub yesterday, in a 3-3 draw.

Promise N'Zumbu, Zach Simpson and Lucas Taylor were all on the scoresheet as Spartans pushed top of the table Gateshead all the way. The U19's sit in fifth spot in the NLFA North, with six games to go.

The U17's game against fellow title rivals Harrogate Town was unfortunately abandoned, due to an injury to goalkeeper Tom Wailes - the third academy goalkeeper to go down with an injury in recent months.

Goals from Mackenzie Gibson and Kuba Zmich before the break had put Spartans in the driving seat, prior to the injury to Tom, who has trained with the first team in recent months.
