Blyth Spartans face another tough test in the FA Cup as they travel to Teesside to face Northern League Division One side Redcar Town.
Spartans enjoyed the bank holiday weekend picking up a victory in the FA Trophy and defeating Morpeth Town to claim their first league win this season.
Charlie Woods' early strike was the difference between the sides in a heated affair which saw both teams reduced to 10 men.

From the Dugout: Mitch Morris and James Smuk
Morris and Smuk were appointed joint managers of Redcar Town in 2024, In their first full season together they finished 17th in the Northern League Division Two but have stamped their name down as two of the most promising young managers in the North East non league scene.
Fortunes changed last year after carefully crafting a squad that became more competitive Redcar Town were league winners under the guidance of Morris and Smuk.
This season's FA Cup run saw Redcar defeat Newcastle Benfield in the Extra Preliminary round and earn their first home tie in the competition against Bridlington Town who they came back to defeat 2-1 and have now set up a mouth watering tie with Blyth this Saturday.
Player to Watch: Joshua Duffield
Duffield has scored four goals for Redcar Town so far this season joint with forward Jayden Gray, two of which have been scored in Redcar’s previous FA Cup wins over Newcastle Benfield and Bridlington Town.
Duffield plays a key role in midfield for Redcar and was a key figure in their title winning season last year continuing his form into the Northern League Division One.
He will prove to be a difficult customer for Spartans midfield which should make for an interesting battle in the centre of the pitch on Saturday afternoon.
