Blyth Spartans return to Northern Premier League East Division action as they prepare to face North Ferriby FC.
The Spartans head into this match with new caretaker manager Marc Nash in the dugout after Colin Myers was relieved of his duties.
Spartans will be looking to get back to winning ways after being knocked out of the Senior Cup in midweek.
Last Time Out: North Ferriby 1- 0 Blyth Spartans
Spartans were knocked out of the FA Trophy in their last visit to the Versa Sportswear Stadium after Myron Gibbons scored the only goal of the game.
The Villagers went down to 10 men moments before taking the lead as Jack Johnson committed a cynical foul on Dean Briggs, resulting in the referee brandishing a second yellow card.
Despite having the extra man for the second half, the Spartans were unable to take advantage and find a way back into the game despite having lots of opportunities to do so.
Player to Watch
Niall Tilsey is the player to look out for this week for the Spartans. The Villagers' skipper has just made his 200th appearance for the club against Blyth Town last month.
The veteran defender has secured two promotions with the Villagers after scoring in the 2021-22 NCEL Division One Promotion Final as North Ferriby were promoted to the NCEL Premier Division.
A key part of the backline, Tilsley will be looking to maintain the Villagers' unbeaten league run, which currently stands at 10, as they welcome Blyth on Saturday afternoon.
The Villagers Season So Far
North Ferriby currently sit in fourth place in the Northern Premier League East Division after a remarkable run of results.
The Villagers were only one point above Spartans the last time they faced each other; however an unbeaten run in the league stretching to 10 games has seen them move into the playoff spots.
Recently, the Villagers have picked up some incredible victories over Bradford Park (Avenue) and Matlock Town, and they will be looking to continue that run against Blyth this weekend.
