Dunston v Blyth Spartans | Tuesday, 14 October 2025 - 19:45 | League

Spartans were on the wrong end of another defeat as they lost 3-0 away from home against Dunston on Tuesday night.
Blyth started okay in the opening period, limiting the hosts to only a couple of half-chances and being compact in a back five. Blyth had the best chance out of the two sides in the first 15 when Euan Potts was found just a few yards out from goal, but his touch let him down, and Dan Lowson in goal was able to collect.
After the first 15, The Fed started to get on the ball more with Phil Turnbull at the heart of it, and the hosts started to ramp up the pressure, but Spartans still held on strong with Jack Vaulks clearing most things that came into Blyth's box.
With the half coming to an end, it looked like the teams would go in level, but Dunston captain Michael Pearson headed home in the 39th minute, making it another poor time to concede for Spartans, like in Saturday's game against Pontefract.
Half time: Dunston 1-0 Blyth Spartans

Three changes were made at the break by the manager, looking to spark a reaction from his players and change the momentum in the game to get back on level terms.
After a decent opening period in the second half, like the first, with the help of the triple change at the break, which created some half-chances for Blyth, it looked like they were growing into the game; however, it was short-lived as the home side doubled their lead.
It was another header this time from JJ O'Donnell, who headed home into the top left corner with only 15 minutes to go.
The game was wrapped up in the final 10 minutes with Wil Shaw getting in on the action, slotting the ball into the bottom left-hand corner, sealing the three points for Dunston.
Spartans started both halves okay, but the quality of Dunston showed, with them comfortably getting the three goals to win the match.
