What We're Saying
Speaking after his side's defeat on Tuesday, Spartans boss Michael Connor said, “I think at times there was a bit of naivety using the ball, but we've played Leon Burke again, Charlie Whittaker has come on and we have young footballers all over the pitch. So lets take the positives.”
“Let's go again Thursday training, let's just keep going and be as positive as we can. It's about every single player in there going out and doing the best they can. Hopefully our luck might change at some point and we'll get a result and take some chances.”
Opposition
Warrington Rylands currently sit in eighth place, eight points behind Stockton who occupy the last of the play-off spots.
Rylands last match was on 1st March, a 1-1 draw at home to Gainsborough Trinity, with Ben Hardcastle's early goal cancelled out by Declan Howe.
What They're Saying
After his side's draw with Gainsborough Trinity on 1st March, Rylands boss Neil Reynolds said, “Some of the football and the movement we created, it was exceptional, I'm dead proud of the lads. It doesn't feel like a defeat, it feels like a really good point.”
“We're not giving anything up until it mathematically impossible. That's not me putting pressure on the lads, they put that pressure on themselves, they want to finish as high as possible. We're not giving up.”
Last Time We Met
Spartans last met Warrington on 9th March. It was a 2-1 defeat for Spartans with Ben Hardcastle scoring twice for the hosts, with Blyth's goal coming from Billy Gordon.
