Blyth Spartans v North Ferriby | Saturday, 14 March 2026 - 15:00 | League

Blyth Spartans are into their final eight games of their NPL East season, and they welcome North Ferriby to Croft Park for their next fixture on Saturday afternoon.

Spartans were defeated in their midweek clash with table toppers Redcar Athletic; however, they boast an impressive record in front of their home fans, winning the last four in a row.

Blyth have previously faced North Ferriby twice this season (once in the FA Trophy and once in the league), having failed to win on both occasions, they will see this as a huge opportunity to continue their winning run at Croft Park and to bounce back from Wednesday night's defeat.

The Hosts: Blyth Spartans

Blyth Spartans were narrowly beaten on Wednesday night against Redcar Athletic.

The performance from the team showed they do not fear playing any side in this league, and they can match all teams, home and away.

Spartans have only conceded one goal in their last four league games at Croft Park, and will be hoping to continue that impressive record on Saturday.

The Visitors: North Ferriby

The Villagers currently sit 10th in the NPL East. They have accrued 45 points and have remained a steady side throughout this season.

However, the new year has not been kind to the Villagers, having only won one of their 11 league matches since the turn of the year; their most recent match was a 3-1 defeat at home to play-off chasing Pontefract Collieries.

North Ferriby knocked Spartans out of the FA Trophy earlier in the season. Myron Gibbons' strike just before half-time was enough to separate the sides on the day, and they will be looking to repeat that result as they travel to Northumberland.

Last Time Out: North Ferriby 1-1 Blyth Spartans

Marc Nash was a new face in the dugout as caretaker manager after Spartans had let go of Colin Myers earlier in the week.

The Villagers had the perfect start, taking the lead just three minutes into the game. A long throw was not dealt with by the Spartans' defence, landing perfectly for Elliot Walker to slot home.

In the second half Spartans were rewarded for their sustained pressure as the referee awarded a penalty for a foul on Benji Shodeinde. He stepped up to take the penalty and converted excellently, drawing Blyth level with 20 minutes to play.

Jack Vaulks committed a dangerous foul in the middle of the park, which resulted in the referee brandishing a red card and leaving Spartans with 10 men for the remainder of stoppage time.

Despite the extra man advantage, the Villagers were unable to punish Spartans as the Northumberland side earned a huge away point, which was their first on the road since September.

Team News

Noah Millington, Paddy McClafferty, Andy Evans & Michael Fowler will be sidelined for the visit of the Villagers.
