Spartans prepare for their final home league fixture of this season as they welcome Bridlington Town to Croft Park.
Blyth are now seven games unbeaten in the NPL East when playing at Croft Park after their goalless draw with Garforth Town last Saturday.
Spartans failed to complete the league double over their opponents last week but have another opportunity this Saturday and another opportunity to confirm their place in the division for the following season.
The Hosts: Blyth Spartans Blyth Spartans sit four points above the dotted line after their draw with The Miners last Saturday and would confirm safety if they were to beat The Seasiders.
However other permutations mean that if Blyth Town lose and Ossett United fail to win Spartans would be safe regardless of their result against Bridlington Town.
Blyth's form has dipped in recent weeks winning one of their last four league matches and failing to score in the other three, they have missed key players especially in the forward department but they will need to be innovative and clinical if they are to match in form Bridlington.
The Visitors: Bridlington Town
The Seasiders have been in excellent form building up to the end of the season only losing once in their last eight league matches to the league champions Redcar Athletic.
One of those wins was a dominant 7-0 victory over Blyth's relegation rivals Blyth Town in which they scored four first half goals.
Bridlington currently sit 11th but could finish as high as 8th if they continue their great form and finish the season strong.
Last Time Out: Bridlington Town 1-4 Blyth Spartans Spartans were coming off the back of their New Years Day defeat to rivals Blyth Town but had not played in the league for 12 days due to postponements, this fixture would be the beginning of their upturn in form as they looked to revive their season.
Spartans made a bright start to the game and punished the Seasiders just 15 minutes into the game Michael Fowler picked out Jack Foalle with a sublime cross allowing the forward to smash home.
Bridlington responded well and levelled the game just 10 minutes later through Michael Coulson who drilled an effort past Callum Dobson.
Blyth never backed down after being pegged back and it was Foalle again who claimed the next goal in the contest Zach Simpson headed the ball down delicately allowing Foalle to convert and hand Spartans the lead at the break.
In the second half substitutions changed the game in favour of the green army, in the 70th minute Noah Millington burst down the line and picked out Rio Joisce at the back post who tapped home to claim his first goal for Spartans.
The three points were sealed late on as Michael Fowler converted from the spot bringing the points back to Blyth with a convincing victory on the road.
