Bio
Rio is a product of Spartans Academy and returned to Croft Park in November 2025 after an impressive spell with Newcastle Blue Star. Rio made his first-team debut for Spartans in the FA Cup against Wrexham in 2022. During his spell Newcastle Blue Star he helped the side reach the Northern League Division One play-off final. A skilful and technical winger, Rio is capable of beating defenders one-on-one, delivering dangerous crosses and creating chances with his excellent range of passing.
