TEXO, one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplinary industrial services providers, were in attendance at Croft Park on Tuesday to see our game against Chorley. Having announced a 3-year sponsorship deal with Blyth Spartans A.F.C. in the summer they had representatives at the game to cheer Spartans on.
Despite the 2-1 home defeat all guests had a great evening as Cedric Main’s first half goal wasn’t enough to gain any points for Spartans. TEXO operates a growing facility at Port of Blyth, offering increased employment opportunities in the area and is keen for the business to be at the heart of its communities.
At the time the agreement was reached, Tony Platten, Chairman of Blyth Spartans, commented, “This is an exciting and significant sponsorship deal with TEXO. We are greatly appreciative to the fact that Chris and Alan not only agreed to a 3 year deal but suggested it in the first place. This shows TEXO’s commitment, not just to Blyth Spartans, but to the community as a whole. As with all football clubs, we rely on a number of revenue sources, and this level of sponsorship is so important to the running of the Club. As Main Club Sponsors, we look forward to working with Texo, and seeing their name emblazoned on the famous Green and White shirt, and of course providing a big warm Spartans welcome on match days.”
Blyth Spartans would like to thank Texo for their continining support to the Football Club and the local community.

We’d like to thank all our supporters who attend Croft Park as our hospitality guests. Email generalmanager@blythspartans.com for further details or to book your place.
