Blyth Spartans are pleased to welcome goalkeeper, Dan Langley to the Club, who has joined on a non-contract basis.
The 22-year-old advanced through the academy stages of Newcastle United’s youth set-up, spending six years with the Magpies and enjoyed two loan spells gaining first-team experience at Gateshead and Spennymoor Town.
Langley featured in the National League and National League North for a combined 25 appearances and signed his first professional contract at St James’ Park upon finishing his scholarship period.
He has also prominently appeared in the FA Youth Cup, under-18 Premier League, Premier League 2, as well as the EFL trophy where he came up against senior sides such as Mansfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Bolton.
The 6ft 7ins shot-stopper made his Newcastle first-team bow in a friendly fixture against York City in the summer of 2021 too.
Langley will be in contention to make his debut against his former loan side, Spennymoor Town – with Alex Mitchell being absent.
Welcome to the Club, Dan!
