Blyth Spartans can announce the signing of midfielder Danny Groves for the upcoming Blue Square Bet North campaign.
The 19 year old ‘schemer’, who stands 6 foot 2, has been with Spartans since his release by Darlington and has featured in the majority of our pre-season fixtures to date putting in impressive displays against Bedlington Terriers and Spennymoor Town, as well as scoring a well taken goal in the ‘behind closed doors’ game with Hamilton Academical.
The midfielder amassed a total of 17 games for the Quakers over the last two seasons (including 8 starts last season) but was released at the end of the campaign by then manager Simon Davey.
