Blyth Spartans AFC is thrilled to announce Sean Reid has returned to Croft Park.
The box-to-box midfielder first joined the club in 2015 from Northern League side West Allotment Celtic, scoring 66 times in 186 appearances.
Reid played a pivotal role in Blyth’s promotion from the Northern Premier League and the charge towards the National League North play-offs during the 2018/19 campaign.
The 28-year-old scored for Darlington against Spartans on his previous visit to Croft Park. Now, after two years away, he is back in green and white.
Reid said: “I’m very happy to be back.
“I was aware Blyth were keen to get me back in – knowing the club and playing for this club, the opportunity to play here again is good.
Michael Nelson, manager of Blyth Spartans, said: “Sean is obviously known to many people at the club and knows the club from his time here.
“He is a box to box midfielder and will add energy into our midfield. He also has a knack of scoring the odd goal as well which is a great attribute for a midfielder.
“He can also fill in at centre back when needed so that is a plus as well.
“His age and experience will be vital for us in the upcoming season.”
