Blyth Spartans have moved two secure two new away pre-season friendlies.
The two arranged fixtures are as follows: –
Sat 16 Jul – (A) – Spennymoor Town (3pm)
Wed 3 Aug – (A) – North Shields (7.30pm)
The fixture against Spennymoor will see Blyth come face to face with Jason Ainsley’s Northern League winning side. With a fair few ex-Spartans in the ranks with the likes of Craig Turns, Alex Francis, Lewis Dodds, Stephen Harrison, Calvin Smith and Michael Laws currently on the books at Brewery Field, this should make for an interesting afternoon’s football.
The North Shields game will also be of interest to SpartansFans, as following Blyth’s win in the Senior Cup last season the supporters of both clubs have struck up a friendship that has seen them attend the others fixtures, when their respective clubs are playing away or don’t have a game.
