After due consideration the club have informed the FA today that they will now not take up the contract option with Stephen Turnbull.
Stephen did verbally agree, with new manager Steve Cuggy, a deal for the forthcoming season but then chose to accept an offer from another club. Blyth Spartans feel that there is no mileage in pursuing their option and Stephen will be allowed to leave the club.
