Siziba joins on loan from York City

Blyth Spartans are delighted to announce the signing of Zanda Siziba on an initial one-month loan deal from York City.

The 20-year-old winger began his career in the academy of Tottenham Hotspur, before making the switch to Ipswich Town where he signed a two-year scholarship deal.

Progressing through the ranks at Ipswich, Siziba went on to make six first-team appearances before switching permanently to the Vanarama National League as he joined Yeovil Town in March 2023.

He featured six times for The Glovers towards the back end of last season scoring once in the process, however, his time at Huish Park was cut short as The Minstermen swooped in to snap up the tricky forward during the summer.

Siziba has made 14 league appearances for York this campaign and has scored twice but has not featured for the Club since December 9th, 2023, in a 3-2 FA Trophy loss against Nantwich Town.

Jon Shaw commented: “I’m really happy to bring in Zanda to the group.

“He’s highly thought of at York and has shown he’s capable of playing in the level above.

“For him to be willing to drop down a league to get game time rather than sit on the bench or outside the squad and want to prove himself tells us a lot about his personality.

“We’re really looking forward to working with him and excited to see him in action.”

He will be in contention to make his debut in tomorrow’s National League North clash against Boston United at Croft Park.

Welcome to the Club, Zanda!
