The pitch at Croft Park is looking excellent and will improve further before the season starts. Groundsman Peter Henderson has put in a tremendous amount of work and has been short-listed for a ‘Groundsman of the Year’ award.
The award scheme is a national one, operating from the Premier League down.
Two judges, who are the head groundsmen at Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, recently visited Croft Park to inspect the pitch. The winners are expected to be announced in mid-July.
