Blyth Spartans have appointed a new Commercial Manager.

42-year-old Mark Scott will seek out a variety of sponsorships to help drive the club forward.

Spartans’ Chairman Tony Platten said: “Mark has been the Commercial Manager at North Shields since 2009 and was responsible for promoting the club to local businesses throughout North Tyneside in a period when the club rose from 4th bottom of Northern League Two to Northern League title challengers and FA Vase winners in 2015. He brings a wealth of experience to the club which I’m sure we will benefit from.

“Mark has also been involved in producing the North Shields Programme for the

last six years and also wrote the North Shields website so we can possibly call on his skills in these areas as well.”

Monkseaton-based Mark, who is married with a young family, said: “I’m very grateful to North Shields for my time there but it was time to move on and I jumped at the chance to join the Spartans. It’s a massive club and steeped in history. I’ve already made some good contacts locally and am looking forward to encouraging more businesses to get behind the club.”

Mark can be contacted at through the Contact Us page or on 07570 794374.
