TEAM NEWS
Earlier in the season Adam McHugh produced a man of the match display as he at times single-handedly kept Matlock at bay and ensured Spartans travelled back from Derbyshire with a hard-earned point.
The Spartans made produced a resounding performance to overcome Mickleover Sports on Saturday by a scoreline of 7-1. A hat trick from Sean Reid, a double form Jordan Laidler and singles from Jarrett Rivers and Dan Maguire saw Spartans record their biggest league victory of the season. The Gladiators meanwhile suffered a 2-1 home reverse to Workington.
Blyth are on a scintillating run of form with 5 consecutive victories in 2017 and scoring 17 goals in the process and conceding 4 in the process. Matlock meanwhile have lost three of their last 5 in all competitions including a narrow defeat to Barrow in the FA Trophy.
Michael Liddle and Matty Pattison will hope to return to the squad for the visit on Saturday. The Spartans will otherwise have a full squad to choose from for the game.
