Match Photos| Blyth Spartans 1-0 Guiseley AFC

Blyth went into this relegation 6 pointer on the back of an eight match loosing run and having just parted company with their manager midweek; Assistant manager Michael Barron took charge of the team. Blyth were sitting bottom of the league on 9 points with Guiseley just above them also on 9 points but a better goal difference. A win for either team would lift them outside of the bottom three. After a goalless first half, it was the visitors who had a golden chance to break the deadlock from the penalty spot on 51 minutes. However, Blyth Keeper Alex Mitchel saved well. Ten minutes later Sean Reid (making his 200th appearance for Blyth) scored from close range after great build up play by JJ O’Donnell. Blyth held on for the remaining 30 minutes to secure all three points and a clean sheet. Enjoy a selection of match images from Bill Broadley.
