Blyth Spartans can confirm Mike Coulson has resigned from the Executive Committee and returned to Gateshead.
Mike joined the club in February as Community Director and during that time has created a pathway with the club’s junior teams.
Mike said: “This was not an easy decision to make as I have really enjoyed my spell working with you all.
“My relationship with Gateshead FC goes back over 20 years and realistically this is the only job I would leave Blyth for.
“I would like to thank you all for making me so welcome when I came into the club in February.
“I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of my involvement with Spartans.
“Blyth is a well-run club and I wish you all well for the future.”
Chairman Tony Platten commented: “Mike has done an excellent job at Blyth sorting the pathway and community interface as well as his invaluable knowledge of the game at this level. He will be missed.”
Blyth Spartans would like to place on record our thanks to Mike.
We wish him well for the future and look forward to meeting up again at our Christmas fixtures against Gateshead.
We will advertise for Mike’s replacement in due course.
