Curtis Round departs Croft Park for Mount Pleasant

Blyth Spartans can confirm that Curtis Round has completed a permanent move to Marske United for an undisclosed fee.

Round signed for Spartans in November 2022 from The Seasiders, for whom he made over 200 appearances and scored 53 goals during his six seasons there prior to his switch to Northumberland.

The 28-year-old featured prominently for Graham Fenton’s side after signing last season; he has made a total of 31 National League North appearances for the Club, four of which have come this campaign.

Speaking on his departure, Graham Fenton said: “The Club were made an offer from Marske for Curtis yesterday which has been accepted.

“With him having limited opportunities so far this season, the decision is best suited for both the Club and Curtis personally to move on and have the regular playing time he deserves.

“Curtis will be missed at Blyth, he is a much-liked and well-respected figure by the whole Club; we all wish him the best for the future and thank him for his best efforts.”

Everyone at the Club would like to thank Curtis for his efforts and commitment during his time at Blyth and wish him well in his future endeavours.
