Chris Swailes Leaves The Club

Blyth Spartans can announce that following the departure of manager Mick Tait, his assistant Chris Swailes has also decided to leave the club.

Signed at the start of last season, the 40 year old was a mainstay in the Spartans backline, featuring in virtually every match and his level of performance in a green and white shirt saw him pick up the Drager Player of the Season in the recent Presentation Night.

In all the central defender was involved in 48 of the 50 games that the Spartans played in last season – notching two goals in the process.

The club would like to go on record to express their thanks for the work that Swazz did when at Croft Park and would like to wish him and his family all the best in the future.
