Club Statement | Blyth forfeit FA Trophy after positive Covid-19 test

Blyth Spartans AFC can confirm it has received a positive Covid-19 test and as a result is forced to forfeit this year’s FA Trophy. Following dialogue with National League officials this afternoon, the club is required to enter a period of isolation and cancel its Second Round FA Trophy tie with Morpeth Town tonight.  Everyone who has purchased the live stream will be refunded. Refunds take 5-10 days to appear on…

The draw for the second and third round of the FA Trophy has taken place this afternoon.  Blyth Spartans face Northumberland neighbours Morpeth Town at Croft Park on Tuesday, December 15.  Should Michael Nelson’s progress, Blyth will host Callum Roberts’ Notts County in the third round four days later on Saturday, December 19.
