TEAM NEWS
Spartans return home to Croft Park and English soil after a great 3-1 away win to Welsh opposition Colwyn Bay on Saturday. An immediate bounce-back from the defeat to Sutton Coldfield has seen us topping up the league standings with a game in hand on below teams. Ashton United are the team we host, the first league double can be archived with victory tonight, after a 2-0 away win back in August through goals by Matthew Wade and Michael Richardson, who is currently looking for a place in the starting 11 after his two winning goals at Colwyn Bay three days ago.

Stephen Turnbull missed the away fixture at the weekend after failing a late fitness test. He may well be back in contention tonight. Danny Parker, who scored the equaliser for Blyth on Saturday, will be looking to hold his place at centre back, with Ryan Hutchinson still on the sidelines. Neal Hooks was also selected for a start in Wales; he will be looking to hold down a position alongside the ever present Matthew Wade in midfield.

OPPOSITION MANAGER
Paul Phillips & Steve Halford – The player/managers lead Ashton United to the play offs where they lost to local rivals Curzon Ashton on penalties.

DANGER MAN
Martin Pilkington – Has scored in his last 2 games, against Darlington 1883 and Halesowen Town.
