Blyth Spartans Supporters Club | Oddballs range proving a huge success

By Dan Rolls

Blyth Spartans Supporters Club new OddBalls range has been a smash hit with supporters already, with well over 150 items sold and £4,000 raised in sales!

Ian Hertwick from the Supporters Club said “We listened to the views of supporters in the last survey and looked to expand our range of merchandise. We were contacted by locally based company OddBalls and immediately saw an opportunity to stock a new range of items that we knew would be top quality. We now stock OddBalls towels, umbrellas, bucket hats, bobble hats and of course their world-famous boxer shorts. Dealing with OddBalls also enables us to stock kids Spartans merchandise with their Goolies boxer shorts for kids aged 5 to 12 years old, as well as kids bobble hats”.

The club shop will also be stocking OddBalls Baseball caps that will be sold for £15 each.

Some of the money raised by OddBalls will go into helping out charitable causes. Since 2014, OddBalls has raised and donated over £650,000 to charities across the UK and around the world.

Originally looking to raise awareness of Testicular Cancer, OddBalls continues to support a number of causes and breaks down the usual stigma associated with physical and mental health.

OddBalls aim is to donate over £1,000,000 to charities by 2023, and Blyth Spartans is honoured to be playing a part in helping to achieve this.

Blyth Chairman Tony Platten commented that “The Club’s associating with Oddballs is another example of the Club working with numerous community and charitable causes. We fully support Oddballs objective of raising the issue of testicular cancer, it is a subject that men sometimes find difficult discussing.”

The club shop will be open this coming Saturday (17th) from 12pm to 2pm and then for the last time before Christmas on Wednesday 21st from 6pm to 8pm.

Alternatively, you can visit the club’s online store here. Please note the final day for guaranteed delivery before Christmas is Friday 16th.
