Blyth Spartans are delighted to announce the loan signing of Sam Hodgson from South Shields FC on an initial one-month loan.
The talented young forward arrives from the Mariners and has been described as a deadly finisher with an eye for goal.
Last season saw Hodgson break into Shields’ first team as an academy graduate making 24 appearances and scoring nine goals while establishing himself as an important squad member.
On his arrival, Hodgson said, “It’s great, obviously it’s a step up from South Shields but there’s a few familiar faces so I’m looking forward to it.
I’m close the gaffer still so as soon as I knew there was a bit of interest I wanted to get working with him again. I know Will McGowan and Andy Inness from Shields, so it was quite an easy decision.”
