Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the arrival of Dom Tear on a one-month loan deal from National League side Halifax Town.
Tear, having caught the eye at Harrogate Railway, was signed by Championship side Huddersfield Town aged 15.
During his time at the John Smith’s Stadium, the winger was named the club’s Academy Player of the Year in 2018 and also enjoyed loan spells at Larne and Gateshead.
The 21-year-old left the Terriers and joined Halifax ahead of the 2020/21 season.
He trained with Michael Nelson’s side on Thursday, and is available for selection when we host Chorley at Croft Park on Saturday afternoon.
Nelson said: “Dom is someone I’ve worked with before at Gateshead and know well.
“We’ve been working to get him in for some time now but Halifax have been unable to let him out due to injuries in their squad.
“Thankfully, their injuries have cleared up and he’s been allowed to join us. He is good going forward and gives us some extra quality in the attacking areas.”
