TEAM NEWS
Blyth Spartans welcome Goole to Croft Park on Tuesday evening – following our 1-1 draw at the Victoria Pleasure Ground on Saturday. Both sides will be looking to win the replay and progress further in the Buildbase FA Trophy, with a home tie against fellow Evo-Stik Premier League side Halesowen Town awaiting the winners.

A fine Matty Wade strike had given Spartans a deserved first half lead over their opponents on Saturday, but a penalty from Bobby Johnson brought Goole level early into the second half. Despite being unable to hold onto the lead, the result extended Blyth’s unbeaten run to six games.

Goole will come into the game in buoyant fashion – after securing a deserved draw against Blyth. Nathan Modest changed the game for the Vikings after being introduced as a substitute at half-time and was able to test the Blyth defence.

Matthew Wade was substituted at half time on Saturday with a dead leg, while Robert Dale, Matty Pattison and Nathan Buddle all missed the original tie on Saturday. Club captain Dale could make a return, but Buddle and Pattison aren’t expected to be risked.

RECENT FORM
Blyth Spartans – DWWWD
Goole – WLDLD

IN THE AWAY DUGOUT
Dave Anderson – Former Goole and Hull City player. Anderson has been in charge since September of this term following the departure of Lee Morris.

DANGER MAN
Nathan Modest – Former Sheffield Wednesday striker, whose presence in the second half really tested the Blyth defence. He could be the one to watch for Goole on Tuesday evening.
