Blyth Spartans would like to thank all members of the 1899 Club for their continued and magnificent support throughout the last three difficult seasons.
Thanks to their generous support the Club has been able to the extend the contract of Player of the Season, JJ O’Donnell, for another season, keeping him in a Spartans shirt until summer 2024.
Chairman Tony Platten said, “It goes without saying that I am delighted that we have been able secure a new two year deal with JJ. He’s established himself as a favourite with Spartan supporters in his first season with the Club.
The 1899 Club provides a vital fund that helps us tie down key players such as JJ, and I’d like to thank our members for their fantastic support. ”
The 1899 Club income is ring fenced to support the manager in negotiations with key players and not used for regular wages.
Fans can sign up to a membership for a monthly standing order of £5, which secures them a place in the monthly draw, with additional draw numbers available for an additional £5 per month (e.g. four draw entries would cost £20 per month).
The top prize every month is £100, with a second place prize of £50.
