Arrival | Toby Lees signs for Blyth Spartans

Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the signing of central defender Toby Lees.  The 24-year-old started out at Harrogate Town, where he had loan spells at Harrogate Railway, Boston United, Whitby Town and Gateshead.  Lees was then signed permanently by The Heed in March 2020 but departed after the first Covid-19 shutdown with 22 appearances and two goals to his name.  He joined Alfreton Town last summer but returns…

Vacancy | Matchday Stewards Required

Blyth Spartans AFC is on the lookout for matchday stewards as the club prepares to welcome supporters back to Croft Park for the 2021/22 season.  Accepted applicants will receive full eight-hour basis training, delivered by a qualified trainer in the stewarding field.  Training will take place on Saturday, June 26th and last from 10am to 2pm inside the Spartans Clubhouse. Pre-season 21/22 | Middlesbrough friendly confirmed

Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to be welcoming Middlesbrough under-23s to Croft Park on Saturday, July 17th for a pre-season friendly.  The visit of Boro is the first home friendly of the club’s pre-season programme as Michael Nelson’s side prepare for the 2021/22 National League North campaign. Kick-off is 3pm. Arrival | Cameron Painter joins Spartans

Blyth Spartans AFC is pleased to announce the signing of Cameron Painter.  Painter, a young midfielder from Hartlepool, arrives at Croft Park having spent two years at Grimsby Town in the Football League.  Last season, the 19-year-old was loaned to Northern Premier League South East side Spalding United before the Covid-19 pandemic brought it to a premature end.  He becomes Michael Nelson’s 15th signing of the summer as preparations continue…
