Ashington Colliers 3 Spartans U10s 6

The U10s got off to a winning start in the league with a 6-3 win at Ashington.  A hat-trick from Lewis Best, a brace from Lewis Parker and a first goal for Spartans from Rhys Common made sure of the points in this good all round team performance.  John Paul Megson picked up the MoM award for a solid defensive performance and Matthew Giloney was awarded the Coach’s Player Award…

FA Cup Draw

Blyth Spartans have been drawn at home to Ossett Albion. The game will be played on Saturday 26 September 2009 – Kick off 3pm Ossett Albion were awarded a ‘walk-over’ in the previous round, as they were due to play the now defunct Newcastle Blue Star.
