Blyth Spartans are delighted to welcome back least season’s Player of the Year Richard Pell, who has signed from Blue Square North side Alfreton Town for an undisclosed amount. Senior Cup Draw

Blyth Spartans have been drawn away to Ashington, in the semi final of the Tynetec Northumberland Senior Cup. The other semi final sees Newcastle United Reserves travel to Hillheads to take on Whitley Bay. News of when the game will be played will be posted here shortly


Revised directions to Workington

SpartansFans should please note an amended route into Workington for access to their ground following the flood damage to the Northside bridge. Spartans U10s 6 Tynemouth United Blues 2

Two catch up matches in two days, we were certainly taking advantage of “better” weather – at least it wasn’t raining. Tynemouth played a very defensive formation having all their players in their own half whenever we had the ball.  This gave Lewis P freedom to roam in the first quarter as an extra midfielder, which caused them problems as he took advantage of the space and crossed in long balls…
