TEAM NEWS

On Saturday, the Spartans welcome Bradford Park Avenue to Croft Park, looking to extend their winning run to three games.

Blyth were in action on Tuesday evening and a sublime Robbie Dale hat trick gave the Spartans all three points at Tamworth. Dale opened the scoring in the first half when his header from the edge of the area beat Jack Stevens. Dale then doubled his own tally in the second half with a fantastic free kick before adding a third in added time. Peter Jameson made several noteworthy saves to ensure Blyth won 3-0.

Bradford had the week off but were in action last weekend as they entertained Darlington. The Quakers left the Horsfall Stadium with all three points though as David Syers slotted home in the second half. Steven Thompson saw red in the closing stages for the visitors but Darlington hung on for the points.

A victory for Blyth on Saturday could see them leapfrog Kidderminster Harriers and into 4th place in the table. Avenue though will be looking to close the gap on the final playoff spot with three points.
